Why I decided to pursue an IBM DevSecOps certification
In this blog, I will explain why I decided to get an IBM DevSecOps certification, mistakes I made prior to my exams, lessons I learnt, tips that helped me and why you too should get a DevSecOps certification or a similar certification from IBM.
In recent years, IT and Software development has evolved from just traditional Agile to incorporate DevOps (Software development (dev) and operations (ops)) ever since the introduction of Cloud Computing. Companies like Amazon, IBM and Microsoft now allow both companies and individuals to host their Software applications on the Cloud. With this also came issues about security. Whereas most Cloud providers boasts of a very secure and reliable Cloud hosting space, measures also need to be taken from development teams to ensure necessary security and this is why Software Development has gone a little bit further from just Development and Operations (DevOps) to include DevSecOps (Development, Security and Operations).
