Top 10 Django packages to learn
This article is for developers especially those who are advancing in using Django for their projects and would like to know what packages are useful to learn especially one needed in building an industry grade website. The list of top ten django packages can offer insights into what to focus on. Although these lists are completely what I have used but I believe it can be trusted since I’ve been using Django since 2015 and have built at least 50 different websites and applications running on the Django framework.
Note: The list is not exhaustive and neither is it in the order of preference
1. Django auto prefetch
When you start shipping applications for production and build a platform which has a lot of users. It is important to consider optimisation. A platform without optimisation in mind will soon crash because of heavy database query. There is the financial cost e.g. if you are using AWS, speed cost (yes i have worked on a website that took 1 minute to load :D) and this can deter users.
Django auto prefetch as the name implies automatically prefetches objects with many to many relationship and this helps to prevent the overhead of fetching related objects for every objects you make a loop for.
